    I’ve been using a similar Wahl vibrator on my hip and knee for years, and it had a powerful motor that really helped with my pain. When the power cord broke, I decided to purchase this one as a replacement. It features a front-back clamshell design, while my old one was side-to-side. Unfortunately, this new model vibrates the casing more than the head and doesn’t have the strength I was expecting. I’m quite disappointed.

    I’ve had this little device for years, and it’s been a reliable companion. When I purchased it, it didn’t come with the four-finger flex attachment, which I think I would have enjoyed. Apart from the spot application attachment, I tried the other attachments only once or twice; they didn’t quite reach the muscles that needed relief, especially since I’m on the plus-sized side. However, the spot application attachment does wonders for tough knots.

    ~A TIP FOR TACKLING TOUGH, SENSITIVE KNOTS~
    Sometimes, the faster setting can feel overwhelming and even painful on sensitive knots, while the slower setting might not seem effective enough. In those moments, I recommend starting with the lower setting for a bit, then gradually switching to the higher setting. If the lower setting is too intense (which can happen if you haven’t used it in a while), gently tap the spot with the low setting before applying more pressure as it becomes bearable. It may sound counterintuitive, but if you’re dealing with a knot causing pain and restricted movement, it’s worth it. You might feel a bit sore after the first few sessions, but the relief you’ll experience is well worth it. I primarily use it for a recurring knot in my back/hip area.

    ~WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE~
    My main issue is that it can be difficult to control when reaching certain areas. When I use it on spots I can easily access, like my legs, I find it easier to hold the top rather than the handle. However, when trying to reach my back, I have to grip the end, which makes it challenging to apply the right amount of pressure. This often leads to a lack of precision, making it hard to target the exact spot. Additionally, I find it a bit tricky to clean.

    ~WHY I CHOSE THIS ONE IN THE FIRST PLACE~
    I specifically wanted a massager that plugs in. While many people dislike the corded option, I believe battery-operated devices simply don’t perform as well. If you’ve ever used a battery-operated hand vacuum, you know they often lack power. I’ve received plenty of battery-operated massagers over the years due to my back issues, and most ended up unused because they didn’t provide enough relief. If you have a battery-operated one that isn’t cutting it, I highly recommend switching to a plug-in model; it truly makes a difference!

    I had the same model for around 18 years, but when the power began to flicker, I decided it was time for a new one. This new version is larger and noticeably louder, likely due to its size and what feels like cheaper, thinner plastic. The overall build feels more hollow and lacks the sound-dampening quality of my old unit. While it seems to have similar power, I seriously doubt it will last as long given the apparent reduction in quality. On the bright side, the price of $21 is comparable to what I paid for my previous model.

    I previously owned a whale vibrator for 25 years and loved it. Unfortunately, this new one is too loud and has two speeds, both of which are too weak. I was very disappointed with this product, and it also makes strange sounds internally.

    I rarely write reviews, but this product is exceptionally disappointing, so I felt compelled to share my experience. Firstly, the inability to return it is a major issue, especially since the product fails to work consistently in my case. It seems purely greedy that Wahl has a no-return policy. Secondly, the loud buzzing noise makes any attempt at muscle relaxation impossible. Lastly, when using the product, most of the vibrations are transferred to the massager and your hand rather than the intended area. Overall, it’s utterly worthless. 0 out of 5 stars.

    After my Wahl, which lasted over 40 years, finally gave out, I purchased a new model that closely resembles it. This new one is somewhat lighter and doesn’t quite have the same powerful speed as the old version. However, my wife and I occasionally suffer from headaches, and the round comb attachment on the low setting is beneficial for us. The low speed on this new Wahl feels comparable to that of the previous one, so it meets our needs. We also have a percussion gun for muscle relief.
