Keep your legs comfortable on the bed, possibly with a rolled towel under your ankles. You can also support your forehead with a small pillow for neck access.
2) Start gently at the upper back and work your way down one side at a time, avoiding bony areas. Use small circles and adjust pressure according to muscle size and direction. Larger muscles may need more vigorous treatment and longer time to relax. Communicate with your partner to find what feels best. Don’t forget that most people enjoy having their feet, especially the arches, massaged.
3) You can massage some areas on the front of the body with caution.
4) Consider using a cotton sheet over bare skin for warmth and to prevent hair pulling.
These devices generally last about two years with daily use. I wholeheartedly recommend this product and would buy it again.
UPDATE Dec. 2, 2016: I purchased this item on March 7, 2016. It has become quite noisy and is starting to fail. My previous estimate of a two-year lifespan was incorrect; it hasn’t lasted even one year! With regular use 3-5 times a week, I expect it to hold up better. Unfortunately, the internal components seem to be made of cheap plastic and are wearing out. After just nine months, it feels close to the end of its life. I still recommend it, but I’m disappointed it didn’t last a full year.

I appreciate the extra-long power cord, and it’s impressively quiet yet powerful. Remarkably, you can glide this massager over bony areas without discomfort. The curved long handle makes it easy to reach difficult spots, and its balance ensures it doesn’t feel heavy. I’ve spent two to three times more on other massagers that don’t perform nearly as well as this one. One last thing: there are at least six Phillips screws securing the device. I use a long-shank screwdriver to tighten them after significant use; it only takes a slight turn, but it enhances the massager’s performance, making it even quieter. Just to clarify, I don’t work for this company, nor do I own any stock, although I probably should.
